Delay in the issue of voter ID cards to youngsters

The Young voters in Hebbal face difficulty in voting due to delay in the issue of voter ID cards.

Heena Khan a 19 years old girl informed that she had applied for the voter ID card a year back and the delay makes it difficult for her to cast vote in the Lok Sabha elections.

She added, “My mother Jabren Taj received a message about the registration of her application yet the id wasn’t issued.”

Another 22 year old youngster Yuvasri who studies in Christ University said that she has faced a lot of getting her voter ID card.

Ashwini a first time voter now, said that she received her voter ID card two months ago and she finally got a chance to vote.

BBMP official Dr. Sandhya denies the fact that there can be a delay in the issue of the voter id card after they have received registration message also because the first time voter’s have now an opportunity to register themselves online through an app on Mee-Seva.
