College students from BMS Institute and St. Joseph’s work towards conducting a peaceful election in
Shantinagar. This is being done under the supervision of Mirza Mohammed Ismail, central division
warden in Karnataka Civil Corp. Around 500 students have participated in the program and they go
about different polling booths to check if the elections are conducted peacefully. In the course of
ensuring peaceful elections in Shantinagar constituency, the students also help senior citizens, disabled,
supervise and maintain peace and order.
