Prakash Raj is contesting independently from the Bangalore Central constituency. He says he doesn’t want any support from national parties other than Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). He says, “They (AAP) support me because of my vision for Bangalore that is ‘Mini India’; their party is the rightful national party this country needs.”

He announced his plans about his manifesto for which is going to be released tomorrow. He said that he is not scared of his opponents, “People have seen his work (PC Mohan) and just because he won for two years doesn’t mean it’s going to be a win for him this year. There’s no transparency in fund allocation in Bangalore. Corruption is killing the citizens.”

PC Mohan, a Lok Sabha member and a Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate for Bangalore Central has won in the said constituency twice before the present elections. The minister has declared a rally in eight different parts of the city on April 11. His April 11 tweet states, “People of Bangalore central appreciate my efforts and work. They will bless and re-elect me with a larger majority than 2014.”

Mohan has a huge support system with ministers like Rajeev Chandrashekhar who recently inaugurated the “national security” vision for India.

The Congress and BJP manifestos have been released. Raj said, “I will release the manifesto tomorrow and it will contain all the necessary plans for the city.” He dismisses other manifestos and states, “They don’t have sustainable ideas and are a political move to replace the other party.”

The SC recently put a ban on Narendra Modi’s biopic. Raj praises this act and states that the movie was made to influence people at the time of elections and is not ethical.

The actor turned politician said that he is not seeking votes from his film fraternity. “If they (the actors) are the citizens of this country then they will vote for whomever they choose.”

Raj aims to improve electricity, end water scarcity problems, increase employment opportunities, and transparency in fund allocations by the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike. (BBMP)
